Description
A lovely Charles Bayliss (together with Henry Beaufoy Merlin) photo of Hunter Street looking to the east. The young man is standing in Pitt Street, with O'Connell Street heading away on the left, and Castlereagh and Elizabeth Streets further up the rise on the right.
The building on the extreme left of the photo has been replaced by the Radisson Plaza Hotel.
It looks like the photo was taken in the summer of 1873, not long after their association began with their patron B. O. Holtermann.
