Privacy Policy Page last updated 1st September 2023.
Trust. It's something that we value when you give it to us. We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.
In order for us to take orders from you we need just a few things, such as your name, your address, a contact phone number and obviously, an email address. We don't want to know your credit card number - that's why we're integrated with Paypal so that we don't ever need to see those details.
You can trust us when we say that HotPress (including any of our staff) will never, ever share your information on any "spam" level with anybody. Nor will we pass on any of your details to another 3rd party (except postal services, and the law - only when ordered to do so). We definitely do not sell your information.
Just because you have decided to purchase something from us does not give us the right to harass you with phone calls or emails, so we won't. You can trust us on that one.
When you subscribe to our mailing list, you agree to receive occasional yet meaningful email contacts from us and us alone. Our emails are pretty rare, and they will only contain information that we feel is important enough to interrupt your day. Our email subscribers enjoy real information in a concise effort to keep you informed of specials, new products and other generally good info we have to share. You may unsubscribe at any time.
We like to sleep at night knowing that the trust that we receive from our customers is well-placed.
If you still have questions, feel free to contact us concerning privacy or other issues.
How we use cookies.
A cookie is a small file which is placed on your computer's hard drive. Nearly every website that you visit will place a cookie on your hard drive, if you allow it. If you have set your browser options to allow cookies, the file is added and the cookie helps us to analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.
A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data that you choose to share with us, usually during a purchasing transaction.
You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. However, this may prevent you from taking full advantage of the HotPress.com.au website.
Links to other websites.
Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.
Controlling your personal information.
We will not offer, sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we are required by law to do so. There are only two exceptions, and one is when we distribute your address details to mail and courier services, the other is when we pass on your postal details to our print service company.
If you believe that any information we are holding about you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email us at our published addresses. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.
If you wish us to remove any or all information that we have about you, please write to or email us at our published addresses. We will acknowledge your request and write back to you with a letter guaranteeing that your information has been removed from our database. Our website and all of the data is stored and managed by Shopify, one of the world's largest and most trusted ecommerce providers. Shopify has mechanisms that allow us to easily and totally delete your data if you request so. Shopify also allows us to provide you with all of the data that we hold about you and your orders with us, when requested.
