A view of Melbourne during the 1940s, looking along the Yarra from Batman Avenue. This image contains some of Melbourne's most iconic buildings and landmarks, including the Yarra River, St. Paul's Cathedral, Manchester Unity Building, Ball and Welch Building, Forum Theatre, T&G Building, and Scots' Church Steeple. The little building on the bank of the Yarra is the judges' box for rowing competitions.
